Module Home
This module introduces current educational practices that enhance and support the learning of literacy in secondary classrooms . It encourages reflection on personal experiences with literacy, promotes participation in practical activities that expand expertise in literacy, and enhances the role of instructional leader, whether at the school or classroom level.
Educators in secondary schools need to be aware of the types of literacy programs students experience in their early years and know that some students need further instruction (direct and integrated) in the basic skills of reading and writing.
