Resource

Effective mathematics teachers are familiar with the required curriculum and resources. They also provide active learning opportunities for all students. As in every content area, students bring diverse experiences and a wide range of ability levels to the classroom. Teachers must be prepared with appropriate strategies and resources to meet the needs of their students.

References made to books authored by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) should be obtained from your school or local public library. Web links are provided for these documents, but a hardcopy version is recommended as a valuable addition to your library.
